Weekend Love: Bon Voyage

One of my closest friends in Singapore just moved to London so we had a sendoff party over the weekend. As a surprise gift, I prepared a custom photo album through the Photobook Singapore. Their photobook designer software is super user-friendly!! It took hours to do the layout with over 100 photos to include but I'm pretty proud of it and the book turned out really cute ;)

It's always sad to say goodbye but as this print from 1612DesignandPhoto says, there's so much to be grateful for.

Give your friend a hug!

Inspired by: Nuance

Here's something awesome for the best day of the week! Dance meets geometric light forms in this beautifully choreographed video by Marc-Antoine Locatelli. I'm just going to enjoy this and not even try to figure out how this is happening. Love these gifs from vimeo too!

Happy weekend :)

Fiess Tea Bowl

I introduced the Utilitarian Ceramic by Ben Fiess about 8 months ago but it's unique look is still fresh in my memory. So when I came across these beautiful ceramic tea bowls, I knew immediately that it had to be his new work. I love the sorbet color combo :)

Weekend Love: Singappore F1

I moved to Singapore on the night of the first ever Formula 1 Night race hosted in this country. So every year when the F1 season comes around I think, omg another year! Here we are 5 years later. This time around, the F1 weekend became much more memorable because I actually attended the event to watch race from the stands and participate in all the festivities including the concert by Rihanna!

This is the best my camera could do... voooom

Weekend Love: Evernote food

Welcome back to a new week :) Here's something I do at the end of every weekend after delicious meals. Do you use the Evernote Food? It has to be the most efficient food app ever. It let's me keep a list of restaurants and cafes I want to visit as well as visited places to recommend. You can add your photos and notes to keep a food journal. It's powered by foursquare so it will recognize the place immediately and show you reviews and photos others have uploaded. All restaurants I added so far were on their list including small cafes in Europe!

I'm a fan of the Da Paolo Ristorante on Club Street but Gastronomia Da Paolo at Cluny Court is now my favorite lunch hangout :) Just stopped by on Sunday for a late lunch.  So I'm uploading this photo to my list.
I want to eat their Brussels sprouts everyday....

Strøget Shopping

My last post of the trip is a shopping guide from the most exciting shopping day I have ever experienced. I think I went a bit crazy. But how can I not! All of the amazing Scandinavian design I have loved and shared on this blog was all sitting right in front of me. Now I am a proud owner of the incredible products I've introduced here like the trays from HAY and Mormor from Normann Copenhagen. Here are the shops in the order I visited with the City Hall Square as my starting point.

1. Tiger

2. Søstrene Grenes

3. Lego

4. & Other Stories
H&M's higher end and more edgy sister store. I got some cool accessories!!

5. Kaiku

6. Grønlykke

I call it the mothership. I want to live here.

8. HAY
Last but not least, my favorite shop of all! I have been waiting and waiting for this moment and the beautiful store/ showroom did not disappoint :) That was the best hour ever...

They let me play around with the tray combination to decide which colors I wanted.
