I am so totally disappointed. Thanks to the New York Times, now I know the extra virgin olive oils I enjoyed over the years was all made of lies!!!  On the bright side, I love the ikea manual-like style this article is presented in.  I could read this all day.

The Geometry of a Watermelon

Works of Marion Luttenberger featuring watermelons in a unique light. Not a fan of watermelons but I love this laser-cut like precision!  and the best part is that each piece is actually cut in a very standard way, just arranged beautifully into a triangle.

Speaking of geometric watermelon, have you seen the square watermelons in Japan? It's usually displayed in premium fruit stores but those things make me so uncomfortable.. just think of the days the watermelon spent confined in a little box. Talk about claustrophobic.

Weekend Love: The Move

I hope everyone is coming back from a relaxing weekend :) My husband and I moved to our new home yesterday so I had zero relaxation time and 3 hours of sleep everyday.  Here's the one pic I managed to squeeze in over the weekend as I drove past the Chinatown of Singapore while running errands.

So Chinese New Year is just around the corner. I'm not a fan of this season but I sure can't wait for the day off on Friday!!

Happy Friday! I am oh so excited about this weekend because we are moving to our new home on Sunday!! Yeeei! I have to get back to packing so I will leave you this week with a strange video of reversing ice creams.

Eat Seasonably

One thing I love about food in Japan that it's really seasonal. I have favorite dishes and desserts that are only available for a few months out of a year which make it that much more special and tasty! Eat Seasonably is a very cute website that celebrates eating the right things at the right time! Click on the mini vegetable and fruits and it will tell you the best season for it. Great reminder since I live in Singapore where its just summer all year long. I love the graphics :)

Weekend Love: Singapore Home Decor

Hi everyone, I'm back from my 2 week blog break! I spend most of my weekends and free time shopping for my new house. I discovered some great furniture and home accessories stores along the way which I feel are not the easiest thing to find in Singapore. So here are my three new favorite stores to I would like to recommend :)

Taylor B. is a rare gem in Singapore, well a giant gem. Its just exciting to be in their 120,000 over sq ft of warehouse style showroom, whether you like this style or not. It's like being on a treasure hunt in the sea of unique Asian flavor furniture and home accessories.

Verandah Living is a beautiful little store in Upper Bukit Timah. Perfect place to look for some special accessories.

Fred Lives Here at the Orchard Central is an eclectic collection of replica designer furniture and quirky home decors.  I bought my Plumen light bulbs here.

Simple but wise words from Bianca Cash. Something to remember because I came across some people recently who drained me of my energy and patience with their lack of consideration. I just decided to take it as a reminder to be kind to people.  JUST BE NICE, IT'S NOT THAT HARD!
