Countdown: Best moments

So for the last post of the year, I will share my personal best moments of 2011.  No competition! It has to be my two weddings.  Majority of my year was spent planning it and with the help of family and many wonderful friends, it turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of my life.  We just received the photos and I'm very excited to share it with you all.

Countdown: Best Eats!

Today's countdown features the top three favorite restaurants I blogged on this year. Ringology is a design blog so these restaurants were chosen based on how much I love the space and the time spent there as well as the food :) 

1. Bistro Soori - hands down my favorite! 

2.  Bon Gout - I feel at home when I eat at Bon Gout. The best Japanese comfort food in Singapore.

3. Hummerstons - This one is more for the space.  I love the hidden feel even thought it's in the middle of Robertson Quay.

Countdown: Everything I want...

Just 3 posts left to go in the year 2011!  I think I will do a little countdown for the next 3 days to reflect on the creative products and moments of this year.  Today, it's the top 10 products I loved and wanted the most!!   (not all designed in 2011 but everything I came across this year)

1. I want to sit on this chair on a Sunday morning and drink my tea.

2. Maybe I'll enjoy doing the dishes.

3. I will make a little rock garden in my house

4. Locking in my 2011 memories

5. No need to hurt the animals 

6. I want all size and shapes

7. With these plates, my dining table will look so vibrant everyday 

8. I'm addicted to giant knits!! Who can make me one...

9.  Moroccan glasses in the most amazing colors

Marbelous Wood

Look at the amazing marble wood flooring by artist, Pernille Snedker Hansen.

She applies an old marbling technique to the raw, Nordic pinewood creating "a supernatural, organic, colorful and vibrant pattern.  The applied decoration engages in a dialogue with the natural growth rings of the underlying wood."  Beautiful!

Graze at Martin38

I just had a nice quiet lunch to cool down from the busy Christmas weekend.  This is the new Graze near Robertson Quay, sister to the original Graze located at the Rochester Park.  The simple and chic ambiance offers the perfect space for a casual but stylish meal with friends or family.  

The salad that came as sides to my sandwich is one of the best greens I've had in Singapore :)

Sparkling Christmas candles

I made a last minute addition to my christmas decorations with some candles I found in the house.  This is a 2 minute project :)

Christmas covered strawberries!

I'm headed to a Christmas potluck and I am bringing the dessert!  I made some chocolate covered strawberries that look like Santa hats and Christmas trees.  It's so easy, hope you can try it!

all you need to get started: strawberries, food coloring, white chocolate and sprinkles.

Musée d’Orsay in Singapore

I just spent a little Parisian weekend right here in Singapore admiring world class artworks and eating soufflé. 

I really enjoyed the Dreams & Reality from Musée d’Orsay of Paris, currently on display at the National Museum of Singapore. I visited the famous Musée d’Orsay a few years ago and I think this exhibition represents it's home museum very well.  The collection of impressionists and post-impressionist masterpieces was very impressive.  

It's always a mindblowing experience to see works by my all time favorite artist, van Gogh.
