Color Chart

This poster makes me very happy and reminds me of how I organize my own closet. The Swedish design firm Kontor Kontur took objects around their studio and arranged them according to color.  Amazing how they just turn everyday items into art.  They must have a really fun studio.. and lots of cute gloves!

DIY Geometric Favor Boxes

Someone please make me this!  The templates and instructions created by the amazing ladies of Heylook make these geometric faceted boxes so easy to DIY. It's available for download on Ruffled. I think these will be really cute for kids, or any party by changing the paper color.  I would make mine neon ;)

Moss Graffiti

My friend Alex just sent me a link to some diy instructions for moss graffiti. The steps were shown in cartoon drawings and they tell you to throw moss in to your blender :P... so I thought it was a joke or a hypothetical idea at first. But I did some research online and found out that a lot of people are embracing this because not only is moss graffiti eco-friendly, it actually looks quite beautiful. I like the instructions on stories from space.

I've seen these faceted objects by Phil Cuttance a couple of times on other design blogs and magazines but little did i know about the creation process!!  After reading the article on Yatzer and watching the video I appreciate it a hundred times more.  Each object is produced individually by casting a water-based resin into a simple handmade mould.  It's amazing.  I gotta get me one of these cute faceture machines  ;)

This animation for chocolate covered strawberry trifles by Lovestruck is just so sweet! Someone please creates a website with cake recipes all in animation like this ;)  I'm definitely inspired to create one for whatever I make or bake next.

Open Door Policy

Last year I introduced the cutest little stores on Yong Siak street in Tiong Bahru and now I'm back with their latest eatery addition, Open Door Policy. 

Went for a Sunday brunch there yesterday and we were so excited to find the best french toast ever (well, second best to mom's). This restaurant with the casual bistro atmosphere offers unique and well designed food.  I think I'll come back for dinner on one of those weekdays where I'm not dressed up but just need some fancy food. 

Don't you just love finding the best restaurants in the most random, hidden locations. Except it looks like a whole lot of others found ODP and love it...You should call for a reservations.

Wooden Textile

The Wooden Textiles by Elisa Strozyk reminded me of folding A-part which I introduced last year, but what's amazing about this product is that it's half wood and half textile.

Francfranc in Singapore?!

I just heard the best news ever! One of the readers kindly sent an email to inform me that Francfranc stores are opening in Singapore!!!!  Their facebook page says that it will be in early summer. I can't wait... so I've been browsing through their 2012 spring collection and thinking of all the things I'm gonna buy :)
