NALLIK

I've introduced so many stone jewelry here that I was beginning to think I'd never come across another unique design. Well, NALLIK proved me wrong with some beautiful quartz necklaces. Love the gold wrap!

Weekend Love: The Royal Blue Wedding

Hello! My apologies for the 2 week absence without any prior notice. I was completely under the weather and also swamped with work, both still ongoing... On top of that I just took part in a wedding as a bridesmaid right here in Singapore. It was a beautiful day and an exciting one with bridesmaid duties different from the ones I experienced in Denmark and US weddings.

I helped out the couple in the only way I know. Yup, by DIY-ing an original money box for their royal blue wedding. The only request was to create something simple so I topped it off with a giant bow :)

This was so much easier than the diamond money box for my own wedding!

The HAY Colour Glass

I totally fell in love with the Colour Glass designed by Scholten & Baijings for HAY during my trip to Denmark last year. I convinced myself not to buy it because it looked way too fragile for a long trip home. But now they are in Singapore!!  Should I.....????

おべんとう箱

It's hard to describe it but there are certain things that just tugs on this Japanese heart of mine. This bento box is certainly one of them.

Weekend Love: Free People Food

I hope everyone is coming back from a good weekend. I'm enjoying cooking in my new kitchen so I spent some time over the weekend to search for a good recipe source. My favorite find so far is the food section under the Free People blog. They offer healthy recipes along with the most beautiful images. How insane is the color of the beet hummus!!!

Healthy food makes for a good heart and great well being.

Does anyone have any recommendations for amazing recipe blogs?  preferably accompanied by amazing photos :)

Inspired by: A lovely Valentine DIY

Valentine's is in just a week and I'm seeing so many lovely Valentine's Day diy projects. This year I selected less cutesy and more elegant projects.

Floral Heart from a pair and a spare to say I put in a little more effort than a bouquet.

Ombre Wrapping from the House that Lars Built because you're gonna have to wrap that gift in something.

Pavlova Hearts from Return to Sunday Supper because whats V-day without some sugar!

The ABC's of Beyonce

Well it looks like the Queen B gets just about everything. Even things she never imagined to ask for like The ABC's of Beyonce by Vivian Loh.

The 'X' is hilarious ;)

Weekend Love: 100 Happy Days

Have you joined the 100 Happy Days? I just signed up and submitted my first photo. If you have not heard of this #100happydays movement yet, its a website where you can submit a photo a day of whatever that made you happy. I'm thinking, we all take so many photos anyways why not give it a try. Who knows, it might lead to an interesting discovery.

So here is my shot for day one. Coming across a beautiful color while cooking for the first time in my new kitchen.

KIRAYURINA

I think a nice brooch should be the next addition to my accessories. Love the design and material of these modern pieces from Kirayurina.

Extra Virgin Suicide

I am so totally disappointed. Thanks to the New York Times, now I know the extra virgin olive oils I enjoyed over the years was all made of lies!!!  On the bright side, I love the ikea manual-like style this article is presented in.  I could read this all day.

The Geometry of a Watermelon

Works of Marion Luttenberger featuring watermelons in a unique light. Not a fan of watermelons but I love this laser-cut like precision!  and the best part is that each piece is actually cut in a very standard way, just arranged beautifully into a triangle.

Speaking of geometric watermelon, have you seen the square watermelons in Japan? It's usually displayed in premium fruit stores but those things make me so uncomfortable.. just think of the days the watermelon spent confined in a little box. Talk about claustrophobic.

See more of his fun photos here.

Weekend Love: The Move

I hope everyone is coming back from a relaxing weekend :) My husband and I moved to our new home yesterday so I had zero relaxation time and 3 hours of sleep everyday.  Here's the one pic I managed to squeeze in over the weekend as I drove past the Chinatown of Singapore while running errands.

So Chinese New Year is just around the corner. I'm not a fan of this season but I sure can't wait for the day off on Friday!!
