My Europe Trip

IT'S HOLIDAY TIME!!  I am flying off to Europe tonight! The main purpose of the trip is to attend my friend's wedding in Copenhagen (oh, I'm the MOH by the way!)  but I'm also making a couple stops in other cities to experience the amazing design culture there. 

This is also going to be a one two week holiday from the blog.  I have posted every Monday~Friday without fail since 1 June 2011 so it's a bit scary to break this streak. Well, I'll leave you this week with the trip schedule which my friend and I planned for ourselves.  8 Nights, 4 countries. Pretty action packed, huh?! 

I'll be back with lots of souvenirs.

Weekend Love: Served on a Platter

Welcome back to a new week! How was your weekend?!

I had another fun filled weekend in Singapore :)  Friday night a friend took me out for a late birthday celebration at the Platter on Club Street and it was good times! Like the name, everything there is served on a platter to be shared. I hear they change the main menu every four months by inviting guest chefs to design 6 brand new platters.  I'll call it socially delicious ;)

I finished the weekend with a trip to the driving range with my husband and a dinner at the golf course restaurant.  How's this for a Sunday dinner view.

Ferm Living

In just two weeks I will be shopping in Copenhagen, the home of amazing brands like Ferm. I can't begin to explain how excited I am. I'm going through a mental simulation with the brand new Ferm catalogue so I can strategize my shopping day ;)

Yoga Benefits

I'm proud to announce that I have been attending yoga classes for the past few weeks. Ok, today is only my 11th class but I really do feel the difference. And like this very cute yoga infographic by Danielle, I'm pretty sure I'm 35% more flexible.

Paper Weaving

This amazing sculpture by Joell Baxter is created with just screen printed paper and glue. The weaving gives the papers a beautiful structure of flexibility and tension.

Weekend Love: Birthday Feast!

It was my birthday yesterday and lucky me, it fell on a 4 day weekend in Singapore :)  and like all good celebrations it was full of good food and friends! I had a dinner party and a lunch and both venues were a hit with my friends so I have to share it with you! First, Saturday night dinner was at a the brand new restaurant in Tanjong Pagar called Napoleon Food & Wine Bar. I was worried about it being only a month old but we were impressed overall. If you serve a good beef tartare, I will definately be back!

The best part of Napoleon, they have a wine vending machine!!



The next day we headed over to one of my favorite places to brunch in Singapore, the Basilico at Regent Hotel. On top of the amazing spread offered daily, the Sunday buffet comes with a Foie Gras station and a cheese room. Yes, it's a room dedicated to cheese, kinda like cheese heaven.

I'm so grateful for the delicious food and the friends who made it an amazing birthday!

Ice Cream season is here! Unless you are in Singapore like me where it's ice cream weather all year round :) I rarely eat ice cream these days but I will definitely take a scoop if it comes in this porcelain cone by Virginia Sin. Sure to make the summer season sweeter!

Weekend Love: Personal Pizza

I just enjoyed the first relaxing weekend in months. I went a little something like the poster by Emma Bergqvist.  

Our laziness to go out on Saturday night turned in to a fun pizza party. Personalized pizzas with just your favorite toppings!

I think my next dinner party will include a diy pizza station ;)
