Weekend Love: Goodbye iPhone

I made a huge decision recently to switch from iphone to android!! I'm heading to buy my new phone after work today so I spent some time over the weekend to figure out how to make this transfer smooth. The first thing we worry about is photos and contacts right?! I have 8 GB worth of photos so I decided its time to just take that off the phone, save it on my desktop and get a fresh start. As for contacts, I used NQ Contact Sync and this was super easy. Just upload contacts, and download at your new phone. 

The calender is another one of my most important functions used daily. This transfer is also made easy-peasy by syncing the Calendar and Notes with the gmail account you're going to use for the android. I'm so excited for my new phone and the android experience!

I would love to use these beautiful handmade porcelain dishes from the mbartstudios for a summer lunch party. The screenprinted patterns are inspired by modern architecture and nature :)  Love love love!!

Weekend Love: Tanuki

I had a nice start to my weekend with a happy hour with friends at a new bar in Orchard Central called Tanuki. Mmm, so many fun seafood tapas dishes and the oysters are 2 dollars during happy hour!

I love checking through the 'staff pick' list at Vimeo. I'm expecially impressed by the Night Stroll video by Tao Tajima because I have no idea how its done! I love the part where the little lights are bouncing all over the lake. Trippy.

Weekend Love: Roadhouse

For Sunday brunch we headed to the Roadhouse at Dempsey. I didn't even know this little American-style modern diner was hiding smack in the middle of Dempsey. Well, I'm so happy we found it despite a couple wrong turns.

I loved my crab & cheese omelette.  But there were so many more tempting dishes on the menu it took a while for me to decide on that. I'll have to come back to try more :)
