its been 10 years since i last got to spend the sakura season in japan. due to the cold weather, the sakura season came very late this year. on my last day in Tokyo, i finally got to catch the first blossom at Ishikawa Korakuen garden. it was breathtaking.

Los Angeles has the best mexican food! Whether its tacos out of a truck, or a whole 
in the wall restaurant, once you taste, you will never be happy with the mexican food 
you find in Singapore.  During my trip, I had to revisit one of my favorite places. 
Senor Fish!!!  I just love their shrimp tostadas.

Senor Fish is located in Little Tokyo.

this is a new addition to my list of 'must eats' in LA. baby octopus at the all-you-can
eat korean bbq @ Hae Jang Chon Restaurant in Korea town.

yum: Malibu

malibu seafood.it's the best! its about a 30 minute drive from santa monica but we drive up every chance we get.  i love to sit on their patio and enjoy the simply cooked, yet super juicy seafood.  my favorite is the clams and dunking the sourdough into its soup. mmmmmmm......

yum: warabi mochi in tokyo

warabi mochi is one of my favorite japanese sweets. so far my number one is from 京はやしや (Kyo-Hayashiya). they make green tea warabi mochi with green tea bean powder aaand green tea syrup. you can buy them in a box or try it at their cafe in Tokyo Midtown.

just a bit of personal news! i am so excited i wanted to share with everyone. i just got engaged! yes, as i prepare for the big day i will be posting wedding related diy/ design/ creativity.  those who are planning a wedding, or  already had their wedding, please share creative/ cute/ fun info.
